Download
Two forms, identical features — pick whichever fits:
| Form | For | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Installer | daily use | wizard install with a licence page; puts LICENSE and THIRD-PARTY.md in the install directory; also the update path via About → check for updates |
| Portable zip | USB stick / sync folder | unzip anywhere and double-click the exe; the exe needs WebView2Loader.dll beside it — on its own it will not start |
Installer sizes change from release to release; the exact size and direct link for the newest build are on the release page linked at the foot of this page.
Downloading from GitHub
Every installer is published as a GitHub release, and you can take them straight from there:
- Newest release — every installer for the current version, with the
.sigverification files - All releases — every past version, for when you need an older build
Besides setup.exe (the installer) and -portable.zip (the portable build), a release carries LICENSE, THIRD-PARTY.md and the .sig signature files.
Requirements
- Windows 10 / 11 (x64)
- WebView2 Runtime: already present on Windows 11 and on Windows 10 with Edge; the installer carries the loader and only fetches the runtime where it is genuinely missing
Updating
- installed copies: About → check for updates downloads the next signed installer from the GitHub release and runs it (the app's only network call, and it runs when you click it)
- portable copies: download the new zip by hand to stay portable; a portable copy that takes the installer update path becomes a proper installation
Licence and third parties
MIT licence. Third-party components and their licences live in THIRD-PARTY.md (generated by the build from what it actually resolves): mermaid (MIT), graphviz (Apache-2.0), d2 (MPL-2.0).
Verification
Each installer ships a .sig signature file (Tauri update signature). Source and build scripts are public on GitHub.
